Fashion Moments: Cannes Best Dressed

Highlighting the best talent in cinema, the Cannes Film Festival never fails in bringing glamour and showmanship to both the big screen and the red carpet. As the A-List graced the Croisette we waited in anticipation for this year’s breathtaking fashion, which did not disappoint! The B2B Media Team countdown our favourite looks.

  1. Chloe Sevigny

Chloe is always the epitome of cool, she always sets the agenda as opposed to following it. We all liked the different ensembles in the office and, of the 24 that she wore across the Festival, which she attended to promote “Dead Don’t Die,” this vintage Mugler perfectly illustrates why Sevigny always makes the best-dressed lists – she could not have looked sexier.

2. Elsa Hosk

Elsa Hosk wowed at the premiere of “A Hidden Life” in a custom-made Etro dress with a rainbow of pastel shades and a long chiffon trail. The ethereal make-up, hair and jewellery by De Grisogono complemented the fairy-tale look.

3. Helen Mirren

Helen is a vision on the red carpet in her Ellie Saab dress and should be an inspiration to all, on how to execute an edgy look with class and sophistication. This stunning dress fits perfectly and the asymmetrical neckline is not only very on trend, but is also incredibly flattering.

4. Sara Sampaio

With feathers being such a big trend this season, we think it’s only right for them to make an appearance at Cannes! And who better to pull this look off than Sara Sampaio?

5. Jasmine Tookes

Jasmine embraced colour with this stunning Georges Chakra gown. The dress, which blends citrus hues, stood out from the uber feminine pastels and perfectly complemented her skin tone. The accessories, hair and makeup marry together for a sophisticated and elegant look.

6. Peechaya Wattanamontree

Thai actress Peechaya Wattanamontree wore a true Cinderella gown by Ali Karoui at the premiere of “Pain and Glory” which was a triumph of light blue ruffle tulle.

7. Anja Rubik

Anja looks incredibly cool in her Saint Laurent dress and classic high-shine pointed court shoes. This is a very rock n roll outfit that works perfectly with her short blonde tousled hair.

8. Madison Hope Hendrick

This vintage-inspired dress met our voluminous expectations while steering away from the classic tulle look. Madison was a classic beauty in this Ashi gown and definitely channelled her inner movie scarlet.

9. Josephine Skriver

Josephine was an unexpected star of Cannes. Like many others on our list she took a risk and it paid off! Both dramatic and simple this white Ashi two-piece stood out from the traditional bravado of the festival. Channelling her inner Victoria Secret Josephine added an element of sex appeal with a gorgeous open back.

10. Aja Naomi King

Aja stood out on the red carpet, not only because of the eye-catching colour of her Zac Posen dress but also the stunning shape. This look had the right combination of volume while remaining flattering on the waist.
